La Petite Maison at Margot

This is our 6th year at the cottage and we never tire of its pleasures. Opportunities to re-visit our favourite places and discover some new ones. We love the new kitchen and the appliances! A huge thank you to Clare and Francis for their thoughtfulness and friendship.

We’ve had a simply wonderful time here. I’ve been ‘totally calm’ since day one and I’m hoping to stay that way for at least a week when I get home. The weather has been fantastic and we have had wonderful walks with many sightings of Kingfishers along the rivers. Thank you for everything Clare & Francis. This is a very special place and very special to us.

We’ve fallen in love with this place! The views are wondrous, la petite maison is delightful with everything we need, the pool is delicious and silky to slip into on a hot, lazy afternoon looking across the hills – and our hosts could not be more helpful. Thank you so much Clare & Francis for a perfect holiday. We will be back!

Well our 8th year to Saint Antonin and 5th at Le Petit Margot due to having kids the other three visits. We love this area and as you can imagine we often enjoy going back to our favourtite places – Le Beffroi, La Corniche and Manjocarn. This year we went to watch a Toulouse v Castres rugby match – an amazing atmosphere and even a couple of scots on the Park. Good to see Francis has recovered from his fall. Look forward to returning next year if we can make it. Thanks Claire and Francis for another wonderful stay.

Our 5th visit in four years and another fabulous holiday. We re-visited some of the beautiful villages, visited Abbaye Belleperche and Beaulieu, enjoyed a great evening of jazz in St Michel de Vax and wandering around St Antonin. Drove through siuperb countryside and met lots of interesting people. Fantastic meal at the pop-up restaurant, good meals at Moulin de Varen, Beffroi and Carre des Gourmets. Lots of BBQ’s, books and booze back at base! Thank you!

What can we say? Everything that everyone has said is all true! This is an absolutely fantastic place to stay to have the perfect restful holiday. This is our 3rd visit – the only thing to add is that the new kitchen is gorgeous. We will definitely be back. We feel that the ECB should sponsor our holidays here as it seems to uncannily co-incide with England winning a test!

A really lovely place for a holiday – certainly lives up to its name – ‘Total Calm’. The gite is delightful and very well appointed. The covered patio and the superb pool with its comfortable sitting area ere the ideal places to just ‘sit and chill’. The views are just spectacular. A big thankyou to Clare & Francis who were perfect hosts – welcoming, helpful and friendly. Definitely come again!

The weather has not been over-kind to us but La Petite Maison is a wonderful place to relax whatever the weather. As always Clare & Francis have been discreet but attentive. Thank you. We think the new kitchen is a big improvement.

La Petite Maison at Margot

We had a wonderful stay here, with fantastic weather, fantastic accommodation & fantastic hosts. As soon as we arrived & glanced at this luxurious Gite, we were wondering when we could fit in another visit! We did plenty of exploring whilst we were here as there are so many historic & beautiful villages in the immediate area. We ate out at quite a few restaurants and found them all to be of excellent standard both in quality and in value for money.

Thank you Clare & Francis for another 2 weeks in La Petite Maison. As ever we have enjoyed relaxing in the peace and tranquillity of Margot. Thanks also for excellent restaurant recommendations. Wonderful Sunday lunch at La Corniche, The beef at Le Moulin de Varen was excellent and The Beffroi in St Antonin was so good we returned for our last night. Already looking forward to our next visit.
