La Petite Maison at Margot

Thank you so much, Clare & Francis, for another lovely week at La Petite Maison. We have been thoroughly lazy, which is just what was needed, and it’s been a joy to retun to this beautiful, tranquil place.

We’re just about to head off to the Moulin de Varen for a speical last night dinner, and would recommend it to any visitors who don’t knkow it as a great place to celebrate.

Our best wishes to you both. Keep well till we see you again.

Thank you very much for the wonderful stay. We once again really enjoyed discovering (new) beautiful places and had a great time on the canoe trip.

We had a super nice stay at La Petite Maison, Margot. Relaxed on the veranda, we ‘floated’ in the pool every day.

Our motto: ” Never hurry, take it slow, things worthwhile need time to grow!” A goal we don’t always adhere to in our daily, hectic lives. But here, in Margot, we succeeded perfectly!

We will never forget the address, maybe for coming back ourselves, maybe to recommend this place to friends (but only to very good friends).

The end of another wonderful holiday at La Petite Maison (our 5th). We really haven’t done much except relax in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings. We love the ‘sit-outerie’ and being able to have a dip in the pool is very welcome during the very hot days in our first week.

As usual, Clare & Francis have been so welcoming and provided copious amounts of local information while being very discreet.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at Le Moulin de Varen to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Apart from a lunch in Najac and another at Chez Malou, we’ve enjoyed using the new BBQ in the evenings – a novelty that we don’t get to do much in Scotland! Chez Malou is a new creperie just over the bridge in Saint Antonin. Lovely lunch overlooking the river. We thought it was quite good value for money.

Hopefully we’ll be back again soon.

Our first visit to Margot and what a safe heaven on earth this is. We really enjoyed being here. Lovely places to visit but coming ‘home’ in a beautiful, peaceful environment made us feel quite at ease. Thank you for your warm hospitality dear Clare and Francis – we could have been talking for day’s on end! Love to see you again some other day.

quality of everything to do with the Margot experience. Over the years we have stayed in many French cottages, but Margot far exceeds these and

it is the reason we have returned many times, not to mention to catch up on you both.

Our 10th visit to Margot saw perfect hiking weather and early pool exporations. We once again very much enjoyed not only the comfort of La Petite Maison, the warm hospitality of Clare & Francis but also the beautiful landscape.

Without a doubt the best stay we have ever booked. The gite, the hosts, the swimming pool, the surroundings (silence and nature) and the beautiful historic towns in the vicinity – we couldn’t have wished for anything better. The gite is clean and very well equipped, both in terms of equipment and household items and almost feels like you are staying in a good friend’s house rather than a holiday home.

Clare and Francis are wonderful hosts and respect your privacy. They have thought of everything and put a lot of love into their home – and you can feel it.

If you are looking for a stay that will leave you fully recharged and with a big smile, this is it!
