quality of everything to do with the Margot experience. Over the years we have stayed in many French cottages, but Margot far exceeds these and
it is the reason we have returned many times, not to mention to catch up on you both.

Our 10th visit to Margot saw perfect hiking weather and early pool exporations. We once again very much enjoyed not only the comfort of La Petite Maison, the warm hospitality of Clare & Francis but also the beautiful landscape.
Plans are already made for our next visit!

Without a doubt the best stay we have ever booked. The gite, the hosts, the swimming pool, the surroundings (silence and nature) and the beautiful historic towns in the vicinity – we couldn’t have wished for anything better. The gite is clean and very well equipped, both in terms of equipment and household items and almost feels like you are staying in a good friend’s house rather than a holiday home.
Clare and Francis are wonderful hosts and respect your privacy. They have thought of everything and put a lot of love into their home – and you can feel it.
If you are looking for a stay that will leave you fully recharged and with a big smile, this is it!

An idyllic hideaway that truly delivered on the promise of peace and relaxation. Amidst the soothing silence, we found genuine respite.
The pool was a dream. It was available to use at any time of day and every plunge into the cool water was a rejuvenating delight – a true oasis amidst nature.
The holiday home itself felt immediately like home. Impeccably clean and equipped with everything one could desire. We felt comfortable and at ease from the very beginning. A special highlight was the little mobile grocery store that arrived on Thursday with fresh baguettes and delightful pastries.
Despite the secluded setting, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly and easily we could reach the charming town of Saint Antonin Noble Val. A place full of character that is certainly worth a visit.
In conclusion, we’d like to thank the owners. Their warm hospitality combined with descretion made our stay absolutely perfect. We will undoubtedly return and can’t recommend this holiday home highly enough.

We just want to say that we’ve had the time of our lives here. The coziness of the cottage, the scent of the garden, the perfect temperature swimming pool, the beautiful towns but most of all the warm welcome. Thank you so much – it was exactly what we needed. It was ‘lekker’!

Thank you so much Clare & Francis for yet another fantastic two weeks of relaxation at ‘La Petite Maison’. We always love the pool but it was even more welcome on some hot days. We have enjoyed every minute – reading, playing cards, listening to the birds and the sound of silence – bliss!
Have tried several restaurants locally – le Fringalle which has a lovely riverside setting and not far to go from here. Also two superb meals at Le Moulin de Varen – far more expensive but defiinitely worth it.
We managed to walk the PR1 from Espinas which was a delight.
We return home relaxed and happy! Until the next time!

Although we live in a quiet spot out in the sticks, we never really relax at home as there is always something that needs doing, so its always a treat to come here and just let go. We have had a lazy week in the middle of an otherwise busy holiday itinerary and are ever grateful to Clare & Francis for their care and attention to detail that makes this such a special getaway. A la prochaine!

It felt like a sort of homecoming. Clare and Francis as very friendly, helpful and charming hosts, the cosy cottage and wonderful (although sometimes very warm) weather. We very much enjoyed our stay, re-discovered new and old hiking paths and spent kilometres swimming in the lovely pool!

We have had a lovely stay despite the high temperatures and the cottage provided everything we needed to stay cool especially the pool. We felt very welcome.We enjoyed the kayak trip from St Antonin to Cazals and eating out at various restaurants. All restaurants mentioned are suitable for vegetarians.We are going to miss every little bit of this stay. Hope to see you again.
