La Petite Maison at Margot

Although we live in a quiet spot out in the sticks, we never really relax at home as there is always something that needs doing, so its always a treat to come here and just let go. We have had a lazy week in the middle of an otherwise busy holiday itinerary and are ever grateful to Clare & Francis for their care and attention to detail that makes this such a special getaway. A la prochaine!

La Petite Maison at Margot

It felt like a sort of homecoming. Clare and Francis as very friendly, helpful and charming hosts, the cosy cottage and wonderful (although sometimes very warm) weather. We very much enjoyed our stay, re-discovered new and old hiking paths and spent kilometres swimming in the lovely pool!

La Petite Maison at Margot

We have had a lovely stay despite the high temperatures and the cottage provided everything we needed to stay cool especially the pool. We felt very welcome. We enjoyed the kayak trip from St Antonin to Cazals and eating out at various restaurants. All restaurants mentioned are suitable for vegetarians. We are going to miss every little bit of this stay. Hope to see you again.

It is wonderful to be back again and the time has flown by. We really haven’t done much this time except enjoy the peace and tranquility of La Peite Maison, its exceptional facilities and wonderful pool. Just what we needed after a hectic few months back home. Until the next time ….thank you!

La Petite Maison at Margot

Celebrating our tenth visit and La Petite Maison was as wonderful as ever. We enjoyed the gite, the pool, the garden and the surrounding countryside. We swam every day, barbecued often and also enjoyed meals out at local restaurants. We explored various designated ‘Randonnes’from the book. Thank you Clare & Francis for providing total calm as always. You know we love it!

La Petite Maison at Margot

This was our first visit to La Petite Maison and we absolutely loved it! A short but sweet stay after a chateau wedding for some much needed R & R! Clare and Francis were incredibly welcoming.

Pool temp was fab after a 4 hr hike on PR22 in Saint Antonin and a 3 hr canoe down the gorge. Saw lots of herons, lizards, a snake and several other birds and butterflies.

Thanks so much for a great stay!

La Petite Maison at Margot

Two wonderful weeks at La Petite Maison. The weather was perfect, the pool temperature very pleasant. The peaceful and relaxed atmosphere at the cottage and its landscape, but even more the hospitality and warm friendship of Clare & Francis made this a perfect stay.

La Petite Maison at Margot

Although the weather was a bit indifferent, we had a great stay at La Petite Maison.
The gite is lovely and peaceful, very comfortable and equipped with all you could need….it was good to find details of local walks which we took advantage of.
The owners, Clare and Francis were very welcoming and helpful.
Would recommend this gite.

La Petite Maison at Margot

Whilst the rest of the world is getting used to the ‘New Norm’, we have just spent 2 weeks – glorious weeks – reliving the ‘Old Norm’! What a wonderful time we have had. Margot never fails to provide us with the peace and relaxation required to re-boot for the next year ahead in the outside world. It has been a strange and difficult year but the restorative powers of Clare and Francis’ little piece of paradise have as always worked their magic and been especially welcome. Thank you for everything, it was perfect. It exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time.

La Petite Maison at Margot

Its been a very peculiar year so far!! If it wasn’t for Covid we would not have been fortunate enough to have found and stayed at La Petite Maison – a gem of a place in wonderful grounds and a wonderful part of France.
