We have had a wonderful week – you only have to look across the gently rolling green valleys to feel relaxed instantly. The house has everything you need and the pool, garden and sumptuous views are a delight. This year we particularly enjoyed a canoe trip from St Antonin to Cazals. There are a number of places to hire from. It was a beautiful trip. The water is calm and the trip was very peaceful with Kingfishers and Herons to spot on the way. The gentle rapids and shoots provide a little excitement but are nothing to fear if you are a novice canoeist. A memorable 3 hours.

We keep coming back for more as we so enjoy the sheer peace and tranquility of ‘La Petite Maison’ at Margot. The weather has been hot so we have spent many hours simply reading and basking in the sun by the splendid pool.We did stir ourselves for two early morning walks – one around Puycelci and another from St Antonin to Roc d’Anglars (PR9)- both about 2 hours and not too much uphill and well worth the effort. All in all another fabulous stay and we return reluctantly yet relaxed and content in the knowledge we can do it all again next year!

We have reached new heights (or maybe that should be ‘lows’) of laziness! Once again a fabulous restful week- glorious weather, why go further than the gorgeous pool and garden! This is the most fabulous location and a beautiful cottage – what more could you need? Puycelci was a lovely trip out – a little gem of a church and restaurants with amazing views. Thankyou to Clare and Francis for their warm welcome and generous hospitality. We will – of course – be back!

We have had a wonderful time staying in your beautiful gite surrounded by lovely countryside in every direction. Our second visit to this area has given us the chance to re-visit some of our favourite places and discover some new ones too. The gite has everything one could possibly need or want and the beautiful pool has been very well used this week. It was lovely to meet you both – here’s hoping we’ll be able to return one day.

It’s lovely to be back here! We’ve had such a relaxing time and enjoyed every minute of it. 2 great lunches out – Les Boissieres, Bioule – excellent. Lovely terrace over-looking beautiful gardens. Friendly and efficient service, delicious food and excellent value – particularly the 3 course ‘Menu of the Day’. Le Carre des Gourmets, St Antonin – a beautiful setting looking over the river, excellent service and great cuisine! Another must. Clare & Francis, La Petite Maison is a haven of peace and privacy, the pool is perfect! Thank you for being so attentive, helpful and hospitable. We look forward to a return visit: sooner rather than later.

This was another great stay at Margot. Lovely weather, wonderful pool sessions and inspiring and warm conversations with our hosts. We will come back next year.

In 2015 we decided to have a 2 week driving holiday to Italyinstead of our traditional one in Margot. On our last night overlooking the Bay of Naples and with glass of wine in hand we talked about our holiday for 2016 and simultaneously we said ‘ it has to be Margot’ This year has been very emotional and so we knew the delights of Margot with Clare and Francis would be ‘ what the doctor ordered’ Margot has certainly woven her magic for us and thanks to Clare and Francis for helping to make it such a lovely holiday. We deliberately had a ‘chilled out’ relaxing holiday and the weather was kind ( mid/ high 20s )so making it still possible to enjoy the pool. We re-visited some of our favourite places ,such as Najac and Cordes, but also thanks to Clare we discovered the charm of Lisle Sur Tarn, near Gaillac. This is a Bastide style town with many fine buildings, well worth a visit. Sadly the 2 weeks flew by but we returned home well rested. A huge thanks to Clare and Francis for everything they did especially arranging for us to attend the delightful Italian evening. We are looking forward to returning in 2017 (our 8th year ! ) Terry and Sandy

We celebrated another wedding anniversary here in Margot – our 22nd -last night with a chorus of owls and cicadas. We love coming here and now that we have moved to rural Cornwall, it feels even more like a second home….with much better weather! Thank you Clare & Francis for making us so welcome and comfortable once more. A la prochaine!

We have enjoyed such fantastic weather. The pool tempted us every day thus we have been fairly lazy, simply enjoying the tranquility and beauty of La Petite Maison. Everything about this gite, our home for the week, has been perfect! Clare & Francis have the balance of support, friendship and privacy just right. Thank you for lovely chats and drinks on the terrace. Total calm, total charm!

‘Tarn total calm’ – it does exactly what it says on the tin! An ideal place to relax and chill out. There are plenty of things to do as well. We spent some time cycling and made it up the hill at the end of each trip. Trips to Najac and Cahors are worthwhile and don’t miss the Sunday market in St Antonin. Clare & Francis thank you for your hospitality and letting us use your lovely house.

Once again – (4th year out of 5) the laziest of guests have had a brilliant time. We were blessed with glorious weather, coupled with the gorgeous garden, pool and stars at night – we just couldn’t be bothered to stir ourselves! Thanks for everything – great hosts Clare & Francis, fabulous peaceful surroundings and accommodation of first order. We think an annual trip to Margot should be prescribed on the NHS as the perfect cure for a busy & stressful life!
